Good news times three from the Miller College! First, our undergraduate entrepreneurship program was ranked eighth in the country by U. S. News & World Report for 2008. The program has been in the top 10 for nearly a decade. Congratulations to Ball State Entrepreneurship Center Director Larry Cox, Center faculty and staff.
In addition, business major Ben Poor from Greenfield, Indiana completed a 45-day, 820-mile walk from Indianapolis to New Orleans this summer raising more than $11,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief. Congratulations Ben! If you would like to read more about his journey visit www.benswalk.com.
Finally, Muncie Senior, Nicole Smith, received a $10,000 scholarship from SAP America. This award is based upon a student paper competition. Congratulations to Nicole. Her winning paper was entitled “Corporate Software Piracy: Intentional and Unintentional.”
Look for the Ball State Business magazine to arrive in your mailbox in October and read more about our students' experiences and alumni accomplishments.
Alumni Awards
"Distinction" and "achievement" are two words that describe many Miller College alumni. Ten such alumni will be recognized on October 5 at the Fourth Annual Alumni Awards Dinner, hosted by the Miller College of Business Alumni Board. Join colleagues, catch up with old friends, celebrate, and enjoy an evening reminiscing about your Ball State experience. RSVP by September 19.
